The first thing to remember about fear pertaining to dental procedures is that it is probably more common for a person to be fearful than to not be at least someone apprehensive. We try to get to know everybody who comes to see us before beginning treatment. There is very seldom the need to rush into anything and if someone wants to overcome fear, he or she will appreciate the time taken to adjust to us and us to the patient.

Occasionally, we will use a little 'preoperative medication' including nitrous oxide, or headphones to mask sounds, or potpourri to overcome familiar scents. Perhaps the biggest change we have made is the use of DRILLESS DENTISTRY, which is a very quiet air abrasion method of removing decay. Patients are astounded how quickly and efficiently fillings are placed using this newer technology. But, these methods without a little TLC would not go very far.
